(statistics do not include current season)

Andy Trussler (RHB/RM)

Right arm opening bolwer for the 3rd XI who previously played for Great Bromley. A late order batsman who likes to give the ball some wallop and his statistics suggest that he perhaps surprisingly manages this with some degree of success. Not known for his proficiency in the field where he struggles to stay in the same place for more than a couple of deliveries. Unlucky enough to live near Badger.

M 98, R 861 (14.35), W 98 (26.30), Ct 11.

David Abbott (RHB/RM)

Has risen through the youth ranks having gained Abberton Colt of the Year award on an impressive three occasions, the first time when he was just five years old. A right arm swing bowler and one whom likes to keep the scoreboard moving fast while batting. Keen and effective fieldsman, particularly in the deep. An apprentice motor mechanic for the company that likes to think their cars are in front but he needs to learn how to mend cars rather than crash them.

M 32, R 209 (13.06), W 34 (30.32), Ct 4.

Chris Pettit (RHB/RM)

A really exciting prospect who is currently the senior Colts captain and possesses a shrewd cricketing brain for one so young. Bowls a very tidy brisk right arm medium pace and bats middle order, also demostrating a safe pair of hands in the field. Definitely one to watch but needs to learn when to turn down that sharp single. Not known for his lack of confidence.

M 29, R 126 (7.41), W 25 (31.96), Ct 2.

Paul Welton (RHB)

Previously gained experience with Sufolk side Cavendish, this right handed mid-order bat joined Abberton in 2005 on a free transfer from local amateur side Fingringhoe Whalebones. Thought to be quite handy with the hoover and is likely to disappear at about 1820h to pick the wife up from the railway station. Has the ability in the field to turn a dodgy single into a comfortable two! Rumoured to have recently enjoyed his 50th birthday. Closet Archers officianado.

M 22, R 549 (30.50), Ct 6.

Dave Digby (RHB/RM)

Energetic right arm medium pacer who can be reiled upon to respond with extreme enthusiasm off his own bowling but may be guilty of 'shepherding' the ball to the boundary when it his colleagues' turn with the ball. Appears to almost trip himself over at the start of each run up. Apparently is a far worse batsman than Richard Fosker and forms a formidable intellectual pairing with that player in the field! Rejoices in the nickname of 'Dangerous'.

M 24, R 1 (1.00), W 29 (27.20), Ct 3.
