Craig Scott (RHB/RM)
Joined from St Osyth in 2006, having previously served with Clacton. Medium pacer whose nagging line and length and deceptive pace off such a short run up make him a very useful acquisition. Bowls lengthy spells and already has a BB of 7-98. Previously considered a no-hoper with the bat, he has worked hard at this aspect of his game and made some valuable contributions in 2007. Liable to get a tad grumpy on the pitch, he has taken over the duties of Assistant Groundsman.

Phil Lingard (RHB/RM)
Another ex-Colt who could one thinks could reasonably be expected to improve with greater concentration. On his day, an imposing batsman with a decent array of shots but, all-too-often, aerial impetuosity leads to his downfall when seemingly well set. Possesses a ridiclously long run up for a someone whose pace that is only charitably descibed as medium. Reliable fieldsman who is quick across the floor and once had a girlfriend. Drives an ice cream van for a living.
M 264, R 4314 (19.78), W 92 (22.02), Ct 95.
Winston N'dinga-N'dinga (LHB/LF)
Was intended to be a new capture for the 2007 season, but strife in his homeland prevented him travelling to England. This Kenyan youngster has won U19 caps for his country and is a forceful if inconsistent middle order batsman as well as being a sharp left armer with extremely high action. Outrageously quick in the field and between the wickets as a result of a childhood spent catching his dinner. Will be mentored by Kemsley Robb.

Mike Kettle (LHB/WK)
Quite probably the best wicket keeper in local cricket and another to come to the club via West Bergholt, having previously played to a higher standard with Colchester & East Essex. Also an elegant early order batsman who strikes the ball very crisply. Extremely vain, refuses to be photographed without cap. Must have had a tortuous paper round as a boy. Another who has to ask permission to play.
M 14, R 127 (14.11), Ct 7 St 10.
Matt Gilray (RHB/RFM)
An impressive pace bowler with exceptional control who has proved a real handful to all but the best of our TCL opponents. Probably the finest pound-for-pound bowler to have appeared for ADCC. Previously played his cricket with New Brighton and now for East Christchurch-Shirley alongside NZ test stars Craig McMillan, Nathan Astle and Michael Paps. Likes to bat early in the order and has a magnificent arm from the deep. Andy Caddick lookalike who is a butcher by trade back home.
