John Gallant (RHB)
Hugely dependable opening bat who amassed millions of runs whilst Playing for Tollesbury both beofre WW2 and prior to being enticed to The Brow at the start of the 2003 campaign. Has scored over 2500 runs since then at a highly respectable average of 36. Always a sagacious advisor, he is the club's specialist long on fieldsman. Oldest player on the books who can move at a speed of greater than 3 mph without motorisation.
M 93, R 3020 (36.82), W 1 (31.00), Ct 32.
Jonathan Ward (LHB/LM)
Genuine all-rounder with an impressive record. Strong driver of the ball and brisk left arm medium pace bowler who also excels in the covers. Career appearances limited massively by numerous injuries to various part of his anatomy through playing rugby and the desire to continually study for accounting exams. Player of the Year in both 1999 and 2000. Previously with Suffolk side Tendring Park.
M 218, R 5705 (30.18), W 71 (29.80), Ct 79.
Barry Rudlin (RHB/SRAPC)
Stalwart of ADCC for many years since joining for Grasshoppers, this 'self-made' cricketer can bat anywhere and his imaginative array of shots has seen grown men burst into tears. A willing 'pie chucker' when given the slightest hint that he might be required to bowl, he has over the years been one of the safest fielders at the club as has won the Catches Cup on an an incredible twelve occasions. Possesses an unusual method of captaincy and a very limited supply of underpants.
M 957, R 15158 (21.25), W 291 (23.28), Ct 375.
Chris Coe (RHB/RFM)
Another acquisition from Birch & Layer Breton, he was for several years the mainstay in the bowling department when he won the Best Bowler award on four occasions. His consistent line and length brough him many victims and this count would have been higher if the wicket-keepers had had the gumption to stand up to him! An unwilling tail end batsman who looks far better on occasions that his statistics suggest. Specialist fine leg fieldsman and TCL 2nd XI vice captain for 2008.
M 214, R 666 (12.10), W 314 (20.87), Ct 32.
Dave Schofield (RHB/WK)
Gifted high order batsman and impressive wicket keeper whom is also very handy to have elsewhere in the field. A Queenslander by birth (but a damned decent chap despite this), he played for Mackay side Norths before being deported to the UK. He came to Abberton when Birch & Layer Breton folded and has since become a British citizen. Unfortunately, his appearances have been limited by professional commitments and a desire to incease the population.
